Unofficial Book Party: films, reading, signing ...and more

It was a grand bash with close friends, art professionals, and family celebrating the completion of the story, "Chris Twomey PARALLAX: Time, Media, and Significance!"  Early animations, videos, and films were projected in one room "Get Ahead" super 8 film short.

I read excerpts from my book, scripted to match a video I scrapped together at the last minute. (my new computer system still has me somewhat baffled)  Could have been amusing...

Sidney Jenkins and Robert Modafierri from Ramapo College in NJ came. They subsequently have offered me a solo exhibition date at Ramapo College opening Sept.14 - October 14th, 2011.

Ac Institute in NYC's Chelsea has also offered me a solo space at another upcoming exhibition they are hosting which opens on Feb. 23 - March, 17 2012.  I will be showing TRIUMPH of the XX.

The OFFICAL book launch will be on April 26, 2012 at CREON NYC.
Besides the official BOOK LAUNCH, my 2012 SOLO exhibition is scheduled for June 6, 2012. I will feature my newest work called STOLEN GOODS at HP GARCIA Gallery in NYC.

A Studio Visit with Fred Gutzeit: A Parody

Studio Visit with Fred Gutzeit is Fred's project. He has invited various artists to visit him in his studio and record a 3minute interview. In the past, when artists have visited his studio for non-recorded studio visits, they invariably end up talking about their own work.  So, he invited me do just that, creating a parody of a studio visit  for this interview.  In it, I review the monograph, talk about new upcoming work, and attempt to take his work.
